  • What is GRC ImageNet?

The GRC ImageNet is an attempt to provide on-line availability of imagery produced at Glenn Research Center. The current collection contains over 20,000 images and covers the entire span of GRC's existence (1942-present). This body of images is intended to provide a general overview of activities at Glenn Research Center and does not purport to be comprehensive in any specific area or time period. Preview sized images have been made available for browsing or searching to show the range of activites and projects carried on at the Center. In addition, other related image resources, both within GRC and across all of NASA have been tied together within these web pages.

  • How do I browse the image collection?

To browse the images held in the GRC collection, simply select the browse button at the left of the page. Users options include selecting the year to begin browsing, the number of image entries to return at one time, and whether to include image thumbnails or not. Each returned page of images will contain a button to allow more images to be returned, thus advancing chronologically through the collection.

  • How do I search the image collection?

To search the images held in the GRC collection, simply select the search button at the left of the page. Users options allow searching a specific year or all available years (default). A phrase or keyword may be entered in the "Title" field for searching. Searching is NOT case sensitive and partial words will produce matches. • How do I get a print of NASA images?

Due to current budget constraints, NASA does not make copies of images available to the general public. Copies may be made available to qualified mass media representatives and NASA research partners by contacting the Public Affairs Office. Note that many of the images found in the index section of this site contain higher resolution files suitable for many printing requirements.
